My Poetry

Like my song lyrics, my poetic images stem from my surroundings; from my physical world combined with fragments from a mystical, internal one. Linguistically I like working with the energy of words, its sounds and rhythms.

In terms of a style, I would call the poetry I write, “hybrid” or pop poetry. The pieces I have combined with music I have labeled “jazzoetry“. This does not necessarily imply that my poetry pieces are always connected to music. Rather, that most of them are accessible and fairly easily comprehended, like the word popular in pop music suggests.
